RIVERS STATE APC CHAIRMAN HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE DEBUNKS DEFECTION CLAIMS BY SARAKI, GOV TAMBUWAL AND OTHERS

The chairman of All Progressive Congress in Rivers state Hon Ojukaye flag Amachree has dismissed the claims by some APC lawmakers and Governors that they defected from APC.

According to Hon Ojukaye flag Amachree, the likes of Bukola Saraki, Governor of Sokoto state, Gov. Tambuwal and others did not defect but were actually rejected by the All Progressive Congress Party

He made disclosure at an event to receive thousands of pdp members who defected to the APC at Eberi Omuma over the weekend:

"In APC we receive decampees, but in PDP they receive the rejected. You are aware that before Sen. Bukola Saraki defected to PDP, the National Working Committee of the APC dissolved the state exco controlled by hihm. That shows we rejected him.  You are aware that before Gov Ortom of Benue state claimed to have defected, he admitted that APC have given him red card. That means we rejected him....Gov. Tambuwal of Sokoto state was praying for the death of the President. And when the President returned to Nigeria, Tambuwal became afraid...so we rejected him. One thing I want to assure you is that APC is strong at the National..."

Hon Ojukaye flag Amachree while welcoming the decampees enjoined them not to be afraid of any intimidation but be resolved to vote out the Wike administration in the state come 2019.

"Here in Omuma, those days when they will slap you and you run away is over. If they slap you, you slap them back twice. No need to be afraid. One man has turned Omuma into an enterprise. Come 2019 you should reject and vote out Nyesom Wike..."

Responding on behalf of the decampees, Hon.  Cyril Ewoh. the step-father of a pdp lawmaker Kelechi Wogu and other pdp bigwigs who defected to the APC said they dumped the PDP due to bad leadership

Other decampees include: Hon Fedelis Okere, former Vice -Chairman, Omuma LGA,  Mrs Mercy Nwamadi, Former Councilor & House of Assembly aspirant among others.

The Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Party Hon. Ojukaye flag Amachree who was earlier received by HRH Eze M. I Ojiegbe(JP) and the  Council of Chiefs of Omuma, assured them of better condition when APC takes up governance in the state come 2019
