A Non-Governmental organisation, HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE FOUNDATION has provided food items to the public as part of its palliatives to cushion hardship on people due to lockdown as a result of the corona virus pandemic
The HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE FOUNDATION gave out food items such as garri, beans, rice to thousands of people across the 13 wards of Asari toru local Government Area.
Speaking to newsmen at the presentation of the food items, the DG of the HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE FOUNDATION, Jamaiyi Ibieneye said the gesture is in line with the vision of the NGO to positively touch the lives of people in the society, hinting that the covid 19 pandemic and its associated economic effect has brought untold hardship which necessitated the intervention of the HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE FOUNDATION to ameliorate the plight of people
Hundreds of women, youths, and the elderly all received different packages of the food items. Some of the recipient of the food items who spoke to newsmen expressed joy over the intervention by the HON. OJUKAYE FLAG AMACHREE FOUNDATION describing it as timely and a big relief to them
Meanwhile Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree has enjoined Rivers people to adhere strictly to good hygiene by washing there hands regularly, maintain social distance and observe the stay at home directives to curb the pandemic
