The Big Event : Port-Harcourt Media Meetup

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE PORT HARCOURT SOCIAL MEDIA HANDGOUT:

Going by the fact that Rivers State is at the " centre " of National events, it is therefore imperative that we ( Rivers people)  replicate what our colleagues are doing in both Lagos and Abuja.

Social Media Practitioners in Rivers State need to adopt a middle ground : where they can all sit,  chat and unwind  irrespective of Party affiliations.

Social media now has so much influence, to the extent that destinies are being shaped positively by contents on online, deals are being struck while perceptions are being shaped

Since 1999, Rivers people have never had a platform where people across various political and social divides come together devoid of political bickering, the most prominent gatherings have been those of political parties.
This unfortunate situation has dealt a big blow to our 'Port Harcourtness' So we re providing that platform where people who belong to different parties can meet and sit together

We can only start with a day,  increase the number of days and then years...

Activities Outlined for this year's event include :

- Radio Shows

-Discussions

- Comedy

-Music

- Pep Talks

- Online Rallies, etc all by strictly Port Harcourt people

At the end of this year's event we hope to have achieved sanity on social media, irrespective of Party affiliation.

RULES:

I) Absolutely no political party or Campaign insignia like Fez Caps, Shirts, bangles, etc just your Port Harcourtness is all you need to be admitted

II) No tickets: the idea isn't to make profit, so nobody is buying any form of tickets to be admitted

III) We are not interested in being sponsored by the government or any political parties, we are rather open to sponsorship by Corporate bodies, businesses and NGOs...
